Diathermy is a precise, non-invasive treatment that uses controlled heat energy to safely and effectively remove certain minor skin blemishes. The treatment works by delivering a small electrical current through a fine probe, allowing targeted treatment of the blemish while minimising impact on the surrounding skin.
 
I specialise in the removal of specific superficial skin blemishes only, including:
Skin tags – small, soft, harmless growths of excess skin that commonly appear in areas of friction.
Cherry angiomas – small red vascular blemishes caused by an overgrowth of tiny blood vessels.
Spider naevi – small spider-like red blood vessel markings that often appear on the face, neck, or chest.
Telangiectasia – visible small dilated blood vessels that can appear as fine red lines on the skin.

Milia – tiny white keratin-filled cysts that appear as small raised white bumps, often around the eyes and cheeks.

A consultation is carried out before treatment to assess the blemish and confirm that it is suitable for diathermy removal. I only treat the above listed skin blemishes and do not remove moles, suspicious lesions, or any skin growths that require medical assessment.
